a) State our position on the requirement that transgender and nonbinary people and/or people seeking gender-affirming medical interventions acquire a letter of support from a mental health provider;

Center on Halsted:
Center on Halsted is a lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community center in Chicago, Illinois. It is the largest LGBT community center in the Midwest with more than 1,000 people walking through its doors every day.
Howard Brown Health Providers and Clinics:
Howard Brown Health exists to eliminate the disparities in healthcare experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people through research, education and the provision of services that promote health and wellness.
IGNITE (FORMERLY TEEN LIVING PROGRAM):
Ignite annually serves 500 youth through comprehensive, integrated resources in education, vocation, recreation, physical and mental health care, and nutrition. Youth can access these resources via a continuum of programs: a street and community outreach program, a 24/7 crisis hotline, and three residential programs—an 4-bed emergency shelter, a 24-bed group transitional living program, and a 10-apartment independent living program. Further, any youth in these programs benefit from an after-care program extending up to 12 months.
Lighthouse LGBTQ+:
Lighthouse LGBTQ+ provides free support for teens and young adults who are processing their sexual and gender identity. Lighthouse also provides special programming throughout the year for members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies.
Pride South Side:
Pride South Side is a coalition of organizations and organizers working to bring queer affirming spaces to the South Sides of Chicago.

Helping Survivors
Helping Survivors is a national organization with team members working remotely around the US. They are a resource for survivors of sexual abuse and assault offering free educational resources. Helping Survivors is able to assist victims in finding the resources they need whether it be therapy, legal services, etc.

RAINN is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. Thresholds is one of the oldest and largest providers of recovery services for persons with mental illnesses and substance use disorders in Illinois.
